1. Dress code

   
   

   Come as your most considered self.

   
   

   The Reading Room is a space for intention — what we read, what we create, and how we show up. We ask that your appearance reflects that same care.

   
   

   After 6PM, the following are not permitted:

   
   

   • Baseball caps and beanies

   • Hooded sweatshirts

   • Graphic t-shirts with large logos

   • Ripped jeans or pants

   • Athletic wear and gym shoes

   • Flip flops and casual sandals

   • Men's shorts

   
   

   Always welcome:

   
   

   • Clean jeans

   • Collared shirts

   • Elevated sneakers

   • Expressive or creative dress of any kind

   • Elegant hats: fedoras, berets, caps with character

   
   

   If you need a blazer, we have one for you.

   We reserve the right to use discretion. When in doubt, dress like you mean it.

   
   

2. Noise

   
   

   It's a social environment. Conversation is welcome, loud and unruly behavior is not.

   
   

3. Age

   
   

   All guests visiting the Room must be at least 21 years old, after 6:00 PM.

   
   

4. Laptops

   
   

   Both laptops and headphones are permitted for use until 6:00 PM daily.

   
   

5. The Collection

   
   

   Some of our books and chess sets are vintage or one of a kind. Handle them with the same care you'd want shown to something you love.

   
   

6. Drinks

   
   

   The Reading Room is BYOB. We ask that you drink responsibly and clean up after yourself. Glass only. No cans or plastic bottles on the floor.
